Today I went to the opening of his exhibition on 17 May (now over) and found Chris hard at work over a glass of Bucks Fizz, demonstrating his technique to clients most of whom had come in specially to see him and his show. An early sale came in the first ten minutes, with two clients wanting to buy the same picture but we managed to settle things amicably without coming to blows. .

Chris has, of course, produced many local scenes with lots of atmosphere, like “Early Light at Jaspers” (right) Oil on paper, size 23.5 x 26.5 cms (SOLD).

“Boley Hill” shows Rochester Cathedral from Boley Hill, a lovely watercolour image size 28 x 50 cms, £400 inclusive frame.

 “Cool Jazz” the picture to the left is a great success and as afficianados will know is right in line with his interests in music, as a member of a group who regularly play together in Gigs. OIl on paper, size 30 x 40 cms £380 inclusive frame

“Kentish Harvest “ reflects Chris Jarvis`s fascination with earlier days and agricultural methods. This is a delicate oil on paper, with a feeling of watercolur, size 35.5 x
 50.0 cms, £495 inclusive frame.

Christopher`s feature includes lots of maritime interest too. Shown above is “Racing Schooners”, oil on canvas, size 59 x 79, £1000 inclusive frame. Below is “A Fine Voyage, the Cutty Sark” a substantial oil on canvas, size 70.9 x 90.8, £2000 inclusive frame
